Treasurer’s Report is attached to the minutes

Greg reported that our current balance is $5,260.02.  The balance over the past two years has fluctuated from as low as approximately $3,000 to our current high.  Two checks have not cleared: $100 to N. Lights for the April 6th meeting and $98 check to Nancy Sarowski. (*NOTE this was later found to be still in the check book.)  Three checks for dues have been received since March 16th.

Nancy noted that all Executive Members have paid their dues with the exception of Michele Cooke.  Eight Precinct delegates who are not on the Ex. Comm. have paid dues.  14 Members at large have paid dues.  23 Precinct Delegates have not paid dues.  It was decided that Juli will send a second notice with a cover letter from Nancy.

Dennis made the motion to reimburse Greg for $315.81 for the purchase of a speaker and microphone system.  Pete seconded and the motion passed.

Chairman’s Report

Nancy summarized the content of the website.  The 83 County Chairs in Michigan are now communicating via a special email.  Many are beginning to present a section of the Platform at each meeting as a result of hearing about our meetings.  The MIGOP website now lists our website instead of the chairman’s name and email address.

The following members volunteered to contact possible speakers for the General Meetings through the end of the year. Dennis (August: Bill Livingood), Fred (Sept.: Larry Arnn, Hillsdale President) Oct. 5th will feature Lee Chatfield’s presentation on Natural Law, Dennis (November: retired Naval Pilot).

Juli and Allen volunteered to assist with the website.  Allen   will contact Keith Almli about the Facebook link.

Nancy asked everyone to let her know of anyone who might         be interested in organizing the volunteers in 2016.

Events Report

Jenny announced the Top of the Nob Dinner is June 25th. After  discussion, Greg made the motion to give the Bluedog Award to Bonnie Lucas.  Jenny seconded. Passed.  Greg will contact Steve Kehrer to get the name plate made for the plaque.  Greg will obtain a frame resolution from the legislature through Lee to be presented to Bonnie.  A framed resolution will also be given to Bridget Waldvogel as her husband, Jack, was last year’s recipient of the award.

The Luncheon meetings are the third Monday of June, July, Aug, and Sept.  They are held at the Maple River Restaurant and Pub in Brutus. Check in begins at 11:00 am.

Rob Most of Cheboygan is still trying to get Huckabee as a speaker for our Reagan Day Dinner.  No date set.

Publicity Report

Consensus, after discussion was to only pay for publicity that advertizes our Party’s events.  Radio and print letters/articles that are free should be done for any issue that we are focusing on at our meetings.

Technology  Report

Johnathon sent in a written Committee report asking for photos and bios for the website and any photos from the convention.

New Business

It was decided to forego involvement with the County Fair this year.  Next year, a fundraising committee could consider a booth at the fair.

June 1st at 6:00 pm at N. Lights is our next Executive Committee Meeting.  It will be a strategic planning meeting in anticipation of the election year demands.

The next General Meeting is Monday, May 4th at 7:00 pm, showing the movie, “Agenda: The Grinding Down of America.”

– Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Sarowski (with Sherry’s assistance)
