LANSING — Fourteen Michigan companies, with the support of Clubhouse employment and recovery centers, were recognized at the State Capitol, on March 22, 2017, for employing adults who have mental illness. The Petoskey location of Grand Traverse Pie Company, based in Traverse City, was among those honored.

Amy Westphal, owner of the Petoskey franchise, accepted the award from 107th District Rep. Lee Chatfield, R-Levering.  Also on hand was a representative of the Petoskey Club, a program of North Country Community Mental Health, and a Petoskey Club member and Grand Traverse Pie Company employee, Marcus Washburn.

Rep. Chatfield commended Amy for her distinction of being recognized as a “Good Employer of Citizens with Disabilities.”

Congratulations to the hard-working and kind Mrs. Westphal!
