Emmet County Republican Executive Committee Bylaws

 

ARTICLE I: NAMES

This committee shall be known as the Emmet County Republican Executive Committee, hereafter known as the “Executive Committee.”  The Emmet County Republican Committee (Emmet County Republican Party) shall be known as the “Local Party.”

 

ARTICLE II: THE LOCAL PARTY

The Local Party consists of all dues paying members who reside within Emmet County.

The purpose and object of the Local Party shall be to perform all duties provided by law and such other duties not prohibited by law as will benefit the general welfare of the Republicans of Emmet County and to promote the Republican platform.  The Emmet County Republican Committee assigns the administration of all business of the Local Party to the Emmet County Executive Committee.  The officers of the Emmet County Executive Committee shall serve as the same officers of the Local Party.

 

ARTICLE III: THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Section 1. Establishment

MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW (Excerpt) Act 116 of 1954168.599 Executive Committee Sec. 599. (1)

At the call of the county chairperson within 30 days following the November election to select a number of persons equal to the number of county offices and state legislative offices for which candidates were nominated at the last 2 preceding fall primary elections, who, together with the persons most recently nominated by the party for each of those offices shall constitute the executive committee of their party for that county.
